Basic Rifle Class

In the Basic Rifle Class, students will learn and understand the Universal rules of firearm safety and how to properly handle and fire a long gun. Students will learn the proper stance, posture, grip, sight alignment and controlling recoil. The class will continue on to rapid fire shooting and multi-target drills using life-size paper silhouette targets.

Intermediate Rifle Class

The Intermediate course reviews topics covered in the basic class and introduces the 3 major types of firearm malfunctions. Students will then progress to learning how to safely fire from low ready and high ready positions. Students will also learn double tap technique, acquiring targets with speed, threat assessment and magazine reloading methods. Techniques taught in this course will include: shooting positions, sighting in, identification of targets and firing from cover. Targets will be life-size paper silhouettes and various metal targets.

Advanced Rifle Class

Utilizing tactics and techniques previously learned as well as adding new skills and new firing positions, such as kneeling, sitting and prone, you will be put to the test. Students will be challenged with various problem solving situations including learning how to think as you fire from cover, as you fire while moving and fire at moving targets. This course will include a timed element.  Training will be conducted under stressful conditions, emphasizing conditions you may encounter in real-life situations.
