New Year for me and new milestone for my daughter. I took her out to the range and taught her how to shoot for the first time using my Ruger 10/22 takedown rifle. If you plan on doing this with your kid, please be safe and make sure they are ready. If they are not motivated do not force the issue. You cant teach someone who does not want to learn.

This is my first time shooting action pistol match at California Tactical Academy. There were 6 stages but i forgot to record one of them. I was new to the scoring system but quickest way to describe it is that you MUST shoot all the black targets and when you shoot the white targets you will get negative bonus time. I was running my Springfield MC Operator 1911 with 5 10rnd magazines so I was under the limit 10 category. The weather was 100-109 degrees and I had a funky jam with my 1911 on stage3 where the round was stopping me from stripping it out even though my slide was lock back. I think this will happen when your the last round you loaded is not in the magazine all the way. Been awhile since I posted something here so I thought I should share a few things here. Since most local gun shops and gun ranges are closed during this time so if you want to put your quarantine time to good use, now is the time to take all your guns out and clean them. Practice social distancing and if you have to go outside, please protection yourself at all times.
