California CCW Training Focused on Safety and Responsibility
CaliCCW provides California CCW Training for both first-time applicants and current CCW permit holders completing their renewal training. Our goal is to provide practical instruction that goes beyond simply completing the minimum training requirement.
Carrying a concealed firearm comes with significant responsibilities. Students should understand California laws affecting concealed carry, firearm safety, appropriate use of force, safe firearm handling, and the importance of good judgment when carrying a firearm in public.
Our training emphasizes situational awareness, conflict avoidance, and de-escalation. A CCW license does not give someone additional authority to use force or become involved in situations that could otherwise be avoided. Knowing when not to introduce a firearm into a confrontation is an important part of responsible concealed carry.
Students also learn about safe firearm storage, transportation, concealed carry equipment, interactions with law enforcement, and considerations following a defensive firearm incident.
The hybrid format allows students to complete the educational portion of their training online before attending their scheduled in-person range session. During the range portion, students receive hands-on instruction and complete the required live-fire qualification.
Whether you are completing your Initial CCW Training or CCW Renewal Training, CaliCCW emphasizes four important principles throughout the course: safety, responsibility, sound judgment, and firearm proficiency.
